Replicating Application Data from PostgreSQL to Iceberg Lakehouse

A Hands-On Workshop | October 9th, 2024 (multiple sessions offered)

EMEA Session: 8 am ET / 2 pm CET.

Americas Session: 1 pm ET / 7 pm CET / 10 am PT.

Join us for this interactive hands-on workshop, where together we will replicate data using CDC from PostgreSQL into Iceberg tables using Upsolver.

Our 0-ETL solution makes it easy to connect sources and replicate data in near real-time in just a few clicks. Easily add or remove tables, flatten nested JSON and mask sensitive fields. For power users, we got replication groups, allowing fine grained control over replication logic for specific sets of tables.

In this workshop you’ll:

  • Launch a 0-ETL pipeline to replicate Postgres tables to Iceberg
  • Use SQL to customize how data is replicated into Iceberg
  • Explore the Adaptive Optimizer and how it simplifies data layout planning
  • Learn how to use replication groups to fine tune how data is written to Iceberg
  • Observe and inspect the status and health of your jobs and data

There will be time for Q&A after the workshop completes, as well as a sneak peek into future workshop sessions.

Since the workshop is hands-on, you need to sign up for Upsolver (it’s free). You’ll also need access to a PostgreSQL database and an S3 bucket to write Iceberg tables.

Your two options are:

  • BYO PostgreSQL and S3 bucket (with credentials) to the workshop
  • We’ll provide PostgreSQL demo account and S3 bucket – all data is deleted after the workshop.
