Chief Revenue Officer

Bay Area, California





As Upsolver’s CRO, you will be responsible for building and leading the sales, marketing and customer success teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead the sales, marketing and customer success teams.
  • Build a performance driven, sales-focused culture with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, execution, and growth.
  • Create a strategy and a detailed GTM plan for achieving the company’s revenue goals.
  • Develop brand positioning that articulates the company’s solutions and products portfolio.
  • Implement data-driven sales and marketing processes.
  • Orchestrate and manage key accounts and “must win” deals.
  • Become a point of contact for the CEO, active board members and investors.
  • Locate and nurture channel partners.
  • Manage technology partnerships with multiple vendors including AWS.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record from a startup, selling software to mid-market and/or enterprise companies, specifically during early growth stage.
  • Consultative sales approach.
  • Experience with big data, streaming and/or cloud computing.
  • Experience selling into early markets that require “education”.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to be in software sales.

Senior Product Marketing Manager / Evangelist

Bay Area, California





We are looking for a senior product marketing / tech evangelist to refine our go-to-market strategy, develop relevant collateral and help spread the word.

You will be responsible for telling the world (and company) the story of our product and bind our product strategy to the tactics we need to drive success in sales and marketing.

You should know the big data landscape very well and drive the development of positioning, messaging and sales enablement assets that resonate with buyers, and empower our customer acquisition channels to be successful. An attention to detail and eye for quality are critical to your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform market intelligence and segmentation.
  • Lead product positioning and messaging efforts.
  • Create valuable content for sales and marketing: presentations, one-pagers, website copy, battle cards, product videos, blog posts, newsletters etc.
  • Evangelize Upsolver’s story, features and benefits by speaking at webinars / events, meeting with both internal and external stakeholders, answering questions on Quora/forums etc.
  • Perform periodic training sessions to keep client-facing reps up to date on product features, benefits, and market trends.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, R&D and the founders.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, 2+ in big data / data analytics.
  • Demonstrated track record developing messaging and positioning for software products, including market research and collateral development.
  • Experience optimizing growth metrics and demonstrating results with data.
  • Proven experience in marketing software to developers and technical decision makers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role.
  • Ability to hire and manage a team - an advantage.

Upsolver’s solutions architects drive customer satisfaction with a solution based approach and deep technical expertise in streaming, big data and cloud. The goal is to understand customer use cases and challenges around streaming data and become a trusted valuable advisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage customers, prospects and partners to drive pre- and post-sales success with Upsolver’s software.
  • Tailor big data solutions and architectures based on Upsolver’s product, streaming platforms like Apache Kafka, databases like Redshift or BigQuery, distributed SQL engines like AWS Athena and object storage like AWS S3.
  • Become an expert in Upsolver’s platform and how it should be properly used.
  • Provide valuable product feedback and ensure it is implemented and communicated.
  • Create demos and technical assets.
  • Work closely with sales, customer success and R&D to solve technical challenges and drive sales and renewals.
  • Run technical demos and proof-of-concept sessions for new business and upsell opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Deep experience designing, building, and operating in-production Big Data, stream processing and/or data integration solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications capabilities for delivering demos, webinars, technical documents etc.
  • Proven ability to solve customer problems with little supervision, demonstrated through a history of successful B2B infrastructure software development projects.

As our first Sales Development Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to build and execute the process of generating qualified sales opportunities with CTOs and VP Engineering of Mid-Market tech companies. Responsibilities:

  • Generate, develop, qualify and set new business opportunities to increase revenue for the sales team.
  • Qualify inbound leads to ensure our Sales team is speaking with the right people at the right time.

  • Build rapport with senior executives at target accounts through a consultative sales approach.
  • Research and prioritize key accounts to find decision makers and bring them to a meeting.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years prior sales or sales development experience in an enterprise-software company. Experience with data products is a big advantage.
  • Familiarity with inside sales methodologies and selling software over the phone.
  • Run through a brick wall level of drive, passion, and desire for results.
  • 4-years college degree, preferably in marketing or business, is preferred.

Online and Events Marketing Manager

Upsolver is looking for a dedicated, results-oriented and energetic marketing manager that can take our marketing to the next level. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about marketing, willing to learn and ready to tackle a wide range of responsibilities - from event management to email marketing.

What you’ll do

  • Handle all event strategy and execution: booth and brochure design, activities, administration, on-site
  • Create newsletters, lead nurturing and sales cadence emails, with the goal of driving new business opportunities; create email flows using marketing and sales automation tools, and track performance over time.
  • Manage Upsolver’s social media channels to drive brand awareness and leads via channels such as Quora, Reddit, and LinkedIn
  • End-to-end responsibility for our webinar program - both content and logistics
  • Update and tweak the Upsolver website
  • Write content for social media updates, emails, infographics and more
  • Get things done: make sure marketing projects are executed, manage external vendors and internal stakeholders

You should have

  • 1-2 years experience in B2B marketing - preferably in big data, cybersecurity, DevOps or a similar area
  • Positive, ‘everything is possible’ attitude
  • Fluent English (native level preferred)
  • Experience in field marketing and event management
  • Familiarity with online marketing concepts, tools and methodologies
