Senior Product Marketing Manager / Evangelist

Bay Area, California





We are looking for a senior product marketing / tech evangelist to refine our go-to-market strategy, develop relevant collateral and help spread the word.

You will be responsible for telling the world (and company) the story of our product and bind our product strategy to the tactics we need to drive success in sales and marketing.

You should know the big data landscape very well and drive the development of positioning, messaging and sales enablement assets that resonate with buyers, and empower our customer acquisition channels to be successful. An attention to detail and eye for quality are critical to your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform market intelligence and segmentation.
  • Lead product positioning and messaging efforts.
  • Create valuable content for sales and marketing: presentations, one-pagers, website copy, battle cards, product videos, blog posts, newsletters etc.
  • Evangelize Upsolver’s story, features and benefits by speaking at webinars / events, meeting with both internal and external stakeholders, answering questions on Quora/forums etc.
  • Perform periodic training sessions to keep client-facing reps up to date on product features, benefits, and market trends.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, R&D and the founders.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, 2+ in big data / data analytics.
  • Demonstrated track record developing messaging and positioning for software products, including market research and collateral development.
  • Experience optimizing growth metrics and demonstrating results with data.
  • Proven experience in marketing software to developers and technical decision makers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role.
  • Ability to hire and manage a team - an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and manage sales pipeline
  • Perform frontal and online demos
  • Negotiate and close deals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers

Sales Development Manager

We are seeking a talented, super smart, tenacious and highly motivated sales development representative to help us scale the business globally.

As our first Sales Development Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to build and execute the process of generating qualified sales opportunities with CTOs and VP Engineering of Mid-Market tech companies. You’ll work closely with the founders, sales and marketing to tweak messaging based off of the conversations you have every day.

Looking forward to 2020, we want to see you either managing a team of SDRs or taking ownership over sales processes as an AE.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate, develop, qualify and set new business opportunities to increase revenue for the sales team.
  • Qualify inbound leads to ensure our Sales team is speaking with the right people at the right time.
  • Proactively contact prospects via phone, email, social networking and other creative ways.
  • Build rapport with senior executives at target accounts through a consultative sales approach.
  • Research and prioritize key accounts to find decision makers and bring them to a meeting.
  • Regularly track progress in company CRM.
  • Report sales results and conversion rates on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years prior sales or sales development experience in an enterprise-software company. Experience with data products is a big advantage.
  • Familiarity with inside sales methodologies and selling software over the phone.
  • Run through a brick wall level of drive, passion, and desire for results.
  • 4-years college degree, preferably in marketing or business, is preferred.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to be in software sales.
  • Experience using CRM systems and marketing automation tools
  • Experience in generating leads at events is a plus.

Senior Solution Architect

Upsolver’s solutions architects drive customer satisfaction with a solution based approach and deep technical expertise in streaming, big data and cloud. The goal is to understand customer use cases and challenges around streaming data and become a trusted valuable advisor. We are looking for a trusted adviser for our customers and prospects and spread the word of how to use Upsolver’s product.


Responsibilities:
  • Engage with prospects and customers through initial sales meetings, POCs, no-boarding and day-to-day use of the platform.
  • Tailor big data solutions using Upsolver’s product, streaming platforms like Apache Kafka and complementary cloud platforms like Athena, Redshift etc..
  • Address competitive analysis inquiries.
  • Write content for blogs, documentation, videos and any other content that explains how to use the Upsolver platform to solve real-world use cases.
Requirements:
  • Deep experience in big data space - mandatory.
  • Deep experience with cloud data services on AWS - mandatory.
  • 2+ years of experience addressing customers needs - advantage.
  • Willingness to travel (not very often)
  • Willingness to work with Upsolver US employees and customers from time-to-time.
